All employees employed, directly by or through any agency (including a contractor) with or without the knowledge of the principal employer, for remuneration in any factory or establishment to do any work connected with its affairs. Contravenes any of the provisions/rule of this Act or who willfully obstructs an Inspector or any rule made thereunder or fails to produce for inspection on demand by an Inspector any registers, records or other documents or the rules made thereunder or to supply to him on demand true copies of any such document
(i) For first offence, with fine which may extend to Rs.5000 but not less then Rs.2000
(ii) For a second or subsequent offences, with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 3 months, or with fine which may extend to Rs.10,000 but not less than Rs.3000
